Current Katherine families are invited to join us for our annual Trunk or Treat event!


Donations of candy and party favor type items are now being accepted in the front office.

ALL participants must complete the annual PTA Participation Waiver

prior to entering the contests or visiting our Trunk or Treat event in person.

Would you like to host a Trunk?

Are you interested in hosting a trunk at this year's event? Please read the details and sign up via the link below. Spaces are limited! We are also accepting candy and party favor type donations to be used for the event in the front office!

Trunk Volunteer Guidelines:

  • All trunks will be parked at the Katherine Elementary parking lot. 

  • All decorations and themes must be age appropriate for elementary school age children.

  • Arrival window 3:30 PM – 4:15 PM.

  • No cars will be allowed into the parking lot after 4:30 PM due to safety concerns.

  • Based on the theme chosen during the sign-up process, each trunk will be given an assigned spot.

  • All candy and goodies will be handed out to the Trunk volunteers on the day of the event.

  • All trunk volunteers must have their cars turned off for the entirety of the Trunk or Treat event. No exceptions.

  • Cars cannot move from their assigned spots or exit the parking lot until the event has concluded. Event ends at 7:00 PM. Cars will be allowed to depart at 7:15 PM.

Pumpkin Decorating Contest!

IMPORTANT: Please note we are not accepting carved pumpkins this year--only externally decorated pumpkins.


Entry Deadline: Thursday, Oct. 20th

  1. Each currently enrolled Katherine Elementary student is limited to ONE (1) entry in the coloring contest. Students may participate in both the coloring contest and pumpkin decorating contest.

  2. A copy of the coloring page was sent home or can be downloaded via the above button.

  3. Coloring contest entries should be decorated by the student only.

  4. All entries must be clearly labeled with the student’s full name (first and last), and teacher’s name.

  5. Entries will be categorized by grade levels.

  6. Paper entries must be received by the end of the school day, Wednesday, October 19th. Entries can also be scanned in and emailed to programsvp@katherine-elementary-pta.com no later than 10 pm on October 20th. JPG or PDF is acceptable.

  7. Coloring contest entries will only be available to view online (not in the parking lot).

  8. Voting will take place online. See entry form regarding online voting procedures.

  9. Winners will be announced and receive their prize on Monday, 10/31.

  1. Each currently enrolled Katherine Elementary student or staff member is limited to TWO (2) entries in the pumpkin decorating contest: one individual entry and one as part of a Family Entry. Students may participate in both the coloring contest and pumpkin decorating contest.

  2. A completed entry form must accompany the decorated pumpkin entry. A copy of the form was sent home. Additional copies can be downloaded via the button above.

  3. DECORATED PUMPKINS ONLY. NO CARVING. Paint, drawing, glitter, accessories, etc. are acceptable. Remember only the front side of the pumpkin will be visible! (We have eliminated carving from the contest to make it easier for students of any age to participate without adult involvement. Carved pumpkins were also falling apart/rotting before the evening even ended! Thank you for understanding.)

  4. For individual entries, the pumpkin should be the sole efforts of the student to qualify for grade level entry.

  5. Pumpkins exhibiting excessive adult involvement and/or skills exceeding average age abilities may be put into the Family Entry category at the discretion of the Principal/PTA.

  6. Entries will be categorized by grade level. A Family Entry category is available for family groups (multiple siblings, parents, etc.) who wish to work together on an entry. See entry form for details.

  7. *Pumpkin entries must be delivered to the school between 7:50-8:30 am or 1:15-1:35 pm, on either Thursday, October 20th or Friday, October 21st. They will be collected outside the front gate.

  8. Any pumpkins not picked up between 7-7:30 pm on October 21st will be disposed of that evening.

  9. Voting will take place at our Trunk-or-Treat event on Friday October 21st between the hours of 5pm-7pm

  10. Winners will be announced and will receive their prizes on Monday, 10/31.
